Apartment Review
positive experience until my horrible last contact
Review Date: 9/18/2006 Reviewer: Anonymous
Overall, I git a good value for a normally very pricey neighborhood (Windansea) and enjoyed it. When I had a drain backup they had someone there quickly, though in my other contact with them they were scatterbrained and unorganized -- I never talked to the same person twice, so I always had to explain every little thing anew. When I moved out early, I very conscientiously followed all their procedures for breaking a lease, and I found new tenants to take my place. I tried to schedule things ahead of time and stay in touch with Browar and the new tenants. However, Browar never returned phone calls about my move-out walk-through and basically was unresponsive. In the actual move-out walk-through, the Browar representative needlessly made up ridiculous lies about having discussed damage with me before (she hadn't) and the condition the apartment was in when I moved in (contradicting the sheet I had filled out and signed when I moved in, which was in her hands at the time). It was an appalling and trashy maneuver on her part and I was shocked that a person could be so disgusting and oblivious the truth. There was no big discrepancy on how much security deposit I was due back, but I was insulted and felt Browar was not acting in anything close to good faith. The Browar employee simply obviously thought she could make up any story she wanted and get away with it. |
