Apartment Review for Casa De Alvarado - San Diego, CA

If it were not for the cheap rent, I would not have lived at Casa De Alvarado for three years. Parking is extremely limited, (majority: 1 parking spot per household). I personally know four people who have had their car stolen from the street where we have to park extra cars. (Myself being one of the victims!) Many cars are vandalized on the street as well! Plumbing is terrible; and with most units occupied by renters, solving building problems (like plumbing) is an extremely long process. In addition, I have had very little cooperation and help from management and security. Tried to have a car towed from my spot at 4a.m. (as there was no parking available on the street for a quarter mile). Only one company is allowed to tow and the person NEVER showed up after I had spoken with him! (ended up walking home alone after finding a spot quite far away). In addition, have had my underwear stolen twice from the laundry room (EW!). my advice: if you have good insurance and are rarely at home you can rent here for cheap; otherwise, seek elsewhere.
