Apartment Review
A Balanced View of Why NOT to Live Here!!

Coral Bay has its good things- huge mirrored closets, two extra closets in the hall, and large windows. The gym and pool are great perks. Also, a very responsive maintenance team that get the job done quickly. But that’s about it. Parking is terrible unless you get home by 6. Laundry rooms are usually full and people have absolutely no courtesy and leave their stuff in there for hours. That’s kind of the theme of Coral Bay: people who don’t care about anyone or anything. No one picks up after their dog despite the obvious poop bags. People leave garbage all over. Cigarette butts are everywhere, constantly thrown from the balcony above and landing on the breezeway. People have their guests park in front of other cars or the dumpsters, which can make it nearly impossible to get into a garage spot (which you need if you have two cars, or any sort of personal belongings). The walls are seriously made of construction paper. I hear everything my connecting neighbors do or say. The grass is usually flooded, which amplifies the dog crap/sewage smell. It’s Clairemont, not La Jolla, so obviously the classiest people aren’t going to live here, but do I really need to see a sleeping homeless person on the lawn outside my door? But back to the apartment itself. Absolutely no counter space, so you better not enjoy cooking. Everything is crammed into one tiny area. The bathrooms have decent storage but the unnaturally large sink makes it impossible to have any room to move around whatsoever. The management is friendly and nice but they lost really important documents of mine and at a later date didn’t take my safety concern seriously at all. Bottom line: If you enjoy quiet and space and feeling like you have some bit of control over your life, don’t live here. If you just need a roof over your head and don’t mind the worst parts about apartment living, and you can afford to throw a thousand bucks around for it, take a look at Coral Bay. At least it’s in a central location!
