Apartment Review for Hillside Gardens - San Diego, CA

Where should I begin? To start, this complex is completely unsecure. While they do have security personnel drive around every now and then, the complex is constantly patrolled by transients stealing things from peoples trash cans and peeping into peoples windows. There is NEVER anywhere to park unless you park inside your garage (if you have two cars, good luck). If you park in front of you garage you can get a ticket (it has happened to me) and you will often come home to find other people parked infront of your garage. There has been about 20 seperate occasions where SDPD has shown up chasing suspects with weapons drawn in the 7 months that I've been here. Usually when doing thes they're yelling at people and telling them to stay inside. Also, a neighbor of mine has attempted to kick in people's doors, start fights with people at their own apartments, and threatened a guest with a can of mace, and no matter how many times these things have been reported to the office management (who has promised to handle this) nothing has been done to remove this dangerous person. All in all this is a terrible, unsafe place to live. It is not right for anyone with kids or pets or anyone who isn't willing to live in a risky situation.
