Apartment Review for Las Flores Apartments - San Diego, CA

Pros: Nice neighbors, quiet, large parks within walking distance. Cons: Everything else. This is a mismanaged complex. The folks in the office constantly remodel things that are perfectly fine. Management remodeled the entrance paver stones, for example, because they were stained. The new stones were discolored a week after they were installed. They just finished remodeling the clubhouse. The gym has been shut down for six months. Meanwhile, every building has serious plumbing problems. I can tell you who is taking a shower in what apartment and what type of soap they prefer by looking at the puddles in the parking garage. It's really disgusting. My neighbor has serious flooding issues. They keep sending the day crew to "fix it." It's been a saga ever since I've lived here. They refuse to hire a bonded professional. My own outdoor closet floods with rain water. I keep tools and stuff out there. It ruined some inexpensive saws and stuff. The fix was laughable sadly. The apartment repair crew fixed this serious leaking issue complete with clearly rotting wood by using a can of wall plaster. Dismal. Management is too liberal with rent hikes. Over one year, I saw my rent go from 1350 to 1680. That's 12 months. If you sign a lease, make sure you have a clear mind of goals. Management recently auctioned off the visitor parking spaces in the garages. Renters who wanted an additional guaranteed parkign space could sign a lease addendum for additional dollars. I was promised plenty of guest parking. The only other issue might be pets. There are a lot of dogs in the area.
