Do not rent through Melroy Property Management

1. They take over properties without honoring agreements previously made. 2. They allow criminals and domestic abusers to live at properties. 3. When you complain all of a sudden there a magically unproovable complaints against you months later 4. The property manager and apartment manager are incahoots because they are related and will cover each others mistakes 5. Management will tell you your safety and peaceful enjoyment is not your business and to stay out of management affairs when complaining. 6. They authorize repair work without advanced 24 hour notification. 7. They over populate their apartments (sometimes 4-5 people in a one bedroom), do nothing about it for several months and then complain to tenants of larger apartments that they have too many people, when in fact they are under legal capacity 8. They allow certain people to smoke in their complexes and not disallow others 9. They do not fix repairs within a reasonable time, especially repairs that make a place habitable. 10. They tell their tenants they have 30-days to move out for condo conversion and then allow other tenants an extra stay of execution for 3 months after some tenants who honored that 30-day notification raced around to move out. 11. Onsite apartment management does not respond to noise compliants or emergencies involving accidents at all when contacted. Every time more than one tenant has attempted contact, the phone number is disconnected and she doesn't answer the door. 12. The company has recieved 5 compliants to the Better Business Bureau as reported in the last 36 months, 3 of which were handled in good faith. This tells us that the executive management have good intentions but their operations don't for having put those people in the position to complain in the first place and that out of those 5, 2 compliants were not even handled appropriately. 13. Onsite apartment will knock on your door and call you after business hours at least twice a week. And wont stop when you ask them nicely to refrain from inappropriate professional contact. 14. Management is disorganized. They will misplace your confidential application materials (including any fees paid or money paid) for months without reassurance that no security breach has been made on your personal identity and financial information. And they won't take accountability when a tenant no longer feels comfortable because of their actions and they want to move. Instead the refuse people from replacing roommates that they caused to feel unsafe living there. 15. Overall the management retaliates against its tenants when the express that their peaceful enjoyment has been violated and their privacy has been violated. Again assuming no accountability for their actions.

This information is a partial list and was compiled from several tenants who live at one of their complexes within a 5 month period. The most recent activity was yesterday. Melroy Property Management, its affiliate Melroy Investments are not good landlords or at least they hire operations management that are not good landlords. Please petition the owner of the management to change their operations.
