Never Again
Review Date: 3/21/2006 Reviewer: Anonymous
I dont feel as though I'm ever getting a straight story from our apartment manager. When i pulled her into our bathroom to look at discoloration possibly mold in embedded in the tile her exact words to me were "oh, yeah...wait till it's black". When I requested that they fix the window because it wouldn't shut properly and water was leaking into our room when it rained, the maintenance guy bought used parts that wouldn't fit the old fixture, so his sollution was to take a screw driver and gouge out our drywall and shove it into place. he never bothered fixing the damage. as a result, there is open air flow through the drywall to the outside, and when it rains, it fills with water. To address a possible mold situation in the carpeting, they ripped out the contaminated piece and layed down a fresh piece. our initial complaint was simply that the rain gutters had large holes in them, so the water was dumping straight against our window which we believe is the cause of the mold issue and that, to date, has never been addressed. aside from the condition of the units and the seemingly slow and apathetic response from management to fix them, is the general climate of the complex. We have been forced to deal with police visiting the complex on numerous occassions as well as loud and unruly visitors who curse obnoxiously, spit, drink outside and do god knows what else, as though they own the place. I find it frustrating that when I, a grown adult, have friends over for dinner and we sit out on the patio and talk for a few minutes we are immediately rushed inside. I am a respectful tenant and a good neighbor. I don't believe i've been disruptive. The manager seems to "ride" the good neighbors because she is intimidated by those actually breaking the rules. the general feeling is that management does not care about it's tenants. to them, you are a number and a paycheck. they are not easy to talk to, not quick to help, and seem to hold the status of your tenancy over your head.
