Apartment Review for Milazzo - San Diego, CA

The new owners of this place, United Dominion Residential Communities (udrt.com) are trying to force out all of the current residents by raising their rents as much as 16% and 17% for a six month lease!!! This is absolutely ridiculous when the average rent increase in San Diego for the first half of 2006 was only 3%. Most of the current residents feel we're under attack by this new company - being forced out. This is a hardship for many of us! We can't afford to pay moving costs and we can't afford to stay here at these rents either.

They're trying to raise my and my neighbor's rent about $200 a month! What makes these guys think this is okay? Just because there's no rent control here in San Diego and it's legal to raise rents as much as you want doesn't make it okay to force residents out like this. This is just plain wrong.

DO NOT MOVE HERE unless you want to have to go apartment hunting again in 6 months or face a huge rent increase.
