Apartment Review for Mission Pacific Apartments - San Diego, CA

This apartment was a complete joke. When you first look around you think it is the nicest place you’ll ever find. That is a LIE. While everything looks nice and orderly, the truth is that it is anything but. If you have more than 2 cars (and only 2 parking spaces) you will NEVER find parking. Sometimes you might get lucky and find some on the street right in front of the complex, but for the most part you have to park in bum f*** Egypt and walk to the apartment. The “secure” underground parking garage is a not “secure” like they say. I had my car broken into and my stereo stolen and in the 2 weeks that followed we had 5 or 6 other car break ins. I tried to post signs warning tenants and management took them down. The amenities are nice, when they are available. We had the pool closed for almost 2 months for some absurd reason, and because someone stole the TV out of the workout room they started closing it early. Most of the dryers in the laundry room do not dry like they should (it will cost you 2 loads to dry 1) and you will be lucky if you can do laundry at all since there is only 1 place to do laundry for the WHOLE complex. There is a nice BBQ/Pool table area, but it is always boggarted by the tenants that live right next to it. It’s also ridiculously loud at night when all of the college kids party (and as a college kid myself, that’s saying something). The fire alarms go off at all hours of the night. If you live here, invest in some white duct tape and tape over the fire alarm siren. It will save your ears! It also takes FOREVER for security to respond to anything because, even though they are “on call” 24 hours a day, they aren’t on site. I also came home late one night to a homeless man peeing in the elevator while I was trying to get on. Then when we FINALLY moved out, they robbed us of our deposit for the stupidest reasons. It made no sense! If you want some place safe and honest to stay, DON’T STAY HERE!
