Apartment Review for Prado Apartments - San Diego, CA

I would like to say that this comes from years of personal experience. I have lived in prado for 6 long years. MUCH longer than I should have. I am moving this year, thank god. 1. There is no security, I got my car stolen here 2 times, and PLENTY of other people have reported thefts and break ins. 2. There is no visitor parking. 3. The apartment looks dirty, from the front and center court yard it's nice, but from the ground level entrances there are garbage bins, talk about bad placement. You come home from a long day of work, and you have to smell hot stinking garbage as you wait for the elevator. It's embarrassing to bring friends to my apt. due to this reason. Not to mention there is a trash shoot on every level, so if you are unfortunate enough to live in the same hallway as the shoot, it smells like garbage right outside your door. 4. The staff is mediocre at best. 5. The plumbing in this building is so old that they always have to shut off the water to fix it, I can't recall how many times I had to go to work without a shower because there was a maintenance emergency with the plumbing. 6. The units are old, the wiring is bad, my circuit breaker blows easily. I can't toast bread and run my microwave at the same time. 7. There are a lot of young college students here, need I say more. 8. Less than 1 star. This is by far the worst apt. complex that I have ever lived in, the only good thing is that the rent for mission valley is pretty low, and the size of the units are big. My only reason for staying here was the location in proximity to my and my wife's job. Not to mention is has great freeway access, and mission valley is very central, so you can get to everything pretty quickly. Besides the location and the unit size everything else sucks.
