Apartment Review for Royal Diane - San Diego, CA

This place has gone way downhill since 2007. I have lived here for seven (7) years and I cannot wait to leave. Main issues: 1) You cannot Pay Rent at the hours posted. Sign on Manager's door says 9-5, Mon-Fri, 9-12 Sat. They are not there at those hours! I tried to pay my rent now for 3 days in a row at 9:00am, No One There! When I finally did talk to the manager, she told me she shops, does laundry or does her nails during those hours! WTF?! 2) EVERY Month the water will be shut off...this is because management does not want to FIX the problem, they keep trying to PATCH it...obviously not working. 3) Washing machines and Dryers: there are 3 of each for 27 units...good luck if they all work at the same time. Normal situation-One or more machines will be OUT of Service for weeks at a time...very slow to repair problems. 4)I did mention the downhill since 2007, right? Former Managers/Handyman would be out and visible every day, fixing things, cleaning sidewalks, talking to neighbors...current "manager" (and I use the term loosely) is invisible...they now have a Mexican guy come around once a week, maybe, to do landscaping...NO cleaning of sidewalks, NO (or minimal) cleaning of Laundry Room. 5) I did mention how hard it is to pay your rent, right?! Almost forgot, there is a slot in the door...put your payment here...I did that, then one time, they lost my payment. Told me I was late! I have never been late on a rent payment in 25 years, you have got to be kidding me! Then charged me $50 on top of it all, because they lost the freaking check! Rent here at your own peril...no central air..no laundry in unit, possibly limited laundry outside, due to poor on-site management...and they can't even take your money correctly, during the hours posted that they say they will... other than that, it's a lovely place!
