Apartment Review for Scripps Landing Apartment Homes - San Diego, CA

If you have issues with mold stay out of this place. I've never been allergic to mold or had any problems with it but I have been miserable and sick very often here. It is just a warning. Everything was fine at this place until we voiced concerns about mold. Actually even then it was okay until we asked for an inspector to come in and check. The manager was a bit defensive about it and threatened that we would have to pay the inspector if there was no mold. My husband said it didnt matter because it was worth the peace of mind. I suggested we get our own inspector if we were gonna pay it. When my husband told the manager this she got defensive and said they would get their own too. After that the manager was uncivil and rude. When my husband said we would like to break our lease (after their inspector confirmed the mold) the manager simply said "whatever." She is not very professional. I don't think tenants deserve to be talked to in that way simply for asking them to do their jobs. It wasnt like we made up the mold, it was there because of their negligence. Other than the manager and possible mold problems; this is a pretty nice place to live. But I wont look back fondly on this place. It really sucks that all this has happened. My husband and I are newlyweds and would have avoided these problems if we could have forseen them.
