Apartment Review
A terrible place to rent. Don't make the mistake.

This is the worst place I have ever lived in my entire life. I've lived there about a year and a half, and after my lease was up, they increased my rent by 10%. I have NEVER had such a rent increase. What about the elderly who are on fixed incomes? In addition, they have been through three management companies in the time I've lived there. The latest are something else. For covered parking, I paid an additional $20 a month. After a year, when the newest (and current) management company came on board, they told me I needed to pay an additional $20 a month. I asked why, and they shared it was not written into my lease. I showed them my lease, where it showed my parking space, but they said it was not written in correctly by the first management company. I then asked how I "got away" for more than a year without having paid for parking -- how this "slipped by" two management companies. In addition, I have NEVER seen so many notes taped to the tenants' doors (e.g., water shut-offs, no parking available because of paving, and no main elevator working for a month) -- this usually with ONLY ONE OR A FEW DAYS' NOTICE. Also, they plan to convert the units to condos, so they sent out a 60-day notice of intent. The lobby (carpeting with stains and what looks like Chlorox spots) and the laundry room are disgusting; in addition, the laundry room is only open from something like 9 am to the late evening. With the former management companies, you could use your key to get into the laundry room. This group is WAY TOO INVASIVE for a property management company. I would not rent from this group.
