Apartment Review for Torrey Villas Resort Homes - San Diego, CA

The neighbors at our unit are loud and noisey. They stomp around at all hours of the day and night and even got into a fight where we had to call the cops. Others are just generally rude... real sense of entitlement from most tenants. When we moved in the unit was in disrepair and the maintenance staff's reaction was "don't get too much moved in, they (flooring company) will charge us more if they have to move furniture." VERY unprofessional. The parking is aweful and the tenants harass each other for spots and will park in front of your garage blocking access for hours. At least the security team will have people towed if you ask. Everyone drives too fast and we have almost been hit several times by people coming around corners too quickly and having to slam on breaks. Parents allow their kids to scream and cause trouble. Our building has some teenagers who ride their skateboards in the hallways at all hours of the night. One day we had a bunch of teenagers throwing stuff off of the balconies and stairwells at each other. "Security" patrol will tell you flat out that they get calls about the same problems all the time and the management refuses to do anything about it. We got lucky and signed our lease before Irvine Co. took over and so our satelite is covered. We went to upgrade to HD (at our own expense) and don't get any of the channels because ownership refuses to upgrade their dishes. Most people (at least 40% or more) have dishes hanging off of their balconies due to this... very unsightly. We are in the process of breaking our lease because our ENTIRE experience here has been so unbelievably bad.
