Apartment Review for Torrey Villas Resort Homes - San Diego, CA

I love it here! I see some of the other reviewers have had issues with their neighbors, though that's luck of draw - people will make noise and smoke on their balcony no matter where you live. I'm well aware of this, which is why I was so excited to see that they have a floor plan (the Napoli) where I only have ONE neighbor, and since the apartments are built to Condo standards (a foot of concrete between each unit) in the 12 months I've lived here I've never heard a single sounds from them, except the vacuum cleaner once a month. The plan has large dual master bedrooms, both with walk in closets, full-size washer dryer, a two car garage, very spacious balcony & tons of windows. The complex has all the amenities – a movie theater, game room, a fantastic BBQ area (with fridge, ice maker, trash compactor) hot tub and pools. There are a ton of kids in swimming in the summer, but isn’t that who pools are really made for? The community is upscale, with good schools, very low crime rates, a nice shopping center with most of the necessities. You do need to get on the freeway to get gas, though luckily it’s very easy access. It is a 10 minute drive to any kind of “hot spots” for shopping or dinning, but DT is only 25 minutes away and there’s clubs & arts galore. We did have a rash of car break-ins recently, and the parking can be trying, though they’re instating a “permit required” policy (since people aren’t using their garages), so that should get better really soon. Overall, I’d highly recommend Torrey Villas if you’re looking for luxury apartments, understand what apartment living means (kids at the pool, sometimes hearing your neighbors… at least they’re not college students).
